Arbor Recovery Treatment Options

Methadone Treatment

For more than 50 years, methadone has been proven time and time again as the most effective treatment for individuals afflicted with the disease of opioid use disorder or opioid addiction. Its safety and effectiveness can be found in countless research studies around the world.

The focus of recovery will be on determining the optimal dosage and other supportive services.

Methadone is a full agonist opioid, meaning it will act similarly to other opioids by activating the receptors in the brain. In other words, it satisfies your body’s need for opioids without the
risks associated with abuse. This effect makes it helpful in preventing the painful physical effects of opiate withdrawal. It reduces cravings, increasing your chances of success.

The dose in methadone treatment is different for each patient. Methadone lasts longer than other opiates—typically for 24 to 36 hours! A single daily dose is sufficient for effective treatment. Our patients’ first recovery phase will focus on finding the ideal dosage.

Vivitrol Treatment

Vivitrol is a medication used to treat opioid dependency. It has been proven to help addicted patients stay sober longer and avoid relapse. Vivitrol works by blocking the effects of opioids on the brain, reducing uncontrollable cravings and other unwanted symptoms. This can help patients resist the urge to use opioids and stay on track with their recovery.

Vivitrol is also a long-acting medication that patients only need to receive once a month rather than taking medication daily. This can make treatment more convenient and reduce the risk of missing a dose. Overall, Vivitrol can be an effective tool for patients who are struggling with opioid addiction and want to improve their chances of achieving lasting sobriety.

Methadone Detoxification

Arbor Recovery Michigan’s certified Opioid Treatment Program provides methadone detoxification services to help patients overcome their physical dependence on opioids. The detoxification process is tailored to individual needs and supervised by highly-trained professionals.

The process begins with a complete assessment determining the patient’s physical and mental health status. This assessment helps us to determine the best course of action for the patient and also allows us to understand how much support may be needed.

Methadone is used as replacement for illicit substances during this process because it can
suppress withdrawal symptoms and cravings for opioids like heroin or prescription painkillers.

In addition to methadone management, patients will undergo individual, group, and family therapy with our certified masters-level drug counselors.

Methadone Maintenance

Arbor Recovery Michigan offers Methadone Maintenance services at our Flint, MI. Methadone Maintenance is a drug addiction treatment program that helps people addicted to opioids and other drugs. It works by replacing one drug with another. In this case, methadone replaces heroin or other opiates.

Maintenance takes place at our facility, where you are given methadone as a drinkable liquid to keep you stable as you work toward recovery. Our modern facility in Flint Township provides a private and secure setting for treatment. This allows us to ensure your safety when dealing with the addictive nature of opiates and other drugs.

Suboxone Treatment

We provide outpatient buprenorphine services to patients with opioid addiction. Suboxone is a brand name for buprenorphine. Buprenorphine is a partial opioid agonist that can be taken at home as a once-daily maintenance medication. It blocks the effects of opiates and reduces cravings. We offer both on-site medicine dispensing and ongoing outpatient treatment.

Sublocade Treatment

Sublocade is a new, FDA-approved medication for the treatment of opioid dependence. It’s offered at Arbor Recovery Michigan’s certified addiction treatment program. It stops the cravings and withdrawal symptoms that people struggling with addiction experience when they try to quit addiction.

Once it’s been taken, it can be effective for up to a month. Sublocade is the same as other medicines like subutex and suboxone. It is a medication to be taken only once a month. Because this substance has proven to be incredibly safe and effective in treating opioid dependence, doctors at Arbor Recovery Michigan are excited about adding a sublocade to the services we offer patients who are struggling with addiction.

Counseling

Arbor Recovery Michigan employs certified drug-abuse counselors to help patients overcome addiction. Our counselors are certified by the Michigan Certification Board for Addiction Professionals. With a focus on cognitive-behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing, these counselors help patients learn coping skills, manage triggers, and overcome cravings.

The counselors at Arbor Recovery Michigan provide compassionate care and support to patients and their families throughout the recovery process. To reduce barriers to treatment, we offer both live in-person appointments and virtual appointments via our HIPAA-protected telemedicine portal. Start your life anew with our expert help.

Spravato Treatment

The Spravato (Esketamine) treatment is a highly effective, FDA-approved antidepressant alternative. Spravato is a new antidepressant treatment for patients who have previously struggled with other antidepressants.

A board-certified psychiatrist evaluates all patients before starting the Spravato treatment and continues to do so throughout the process. We closely monitor their progress to ensure they get the most out of their experience. During their treatment, patients can also receive individual and group counseling. This allows them to form relationships with other people going through similar struggles and learn how they deal with their depression from them.

Internal Medicine Treatment

At Arbor Recovery Michigan, we offer internal medicine and primary care services tailored to substance abuse patients struggling with addiction.
